Founded in August
2004, DCist is the most popular local blog in Washington and it covers
all the goings-on of the capital. The site and its editor have been
mentioned in The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal and the New
York Sun, amongst other publications. Washingtonian magazine said DCist
was, "habit-forming" blog that specializes in the collection of
"tidbits of political and cultural arcana." In U.S. News, DCist was
called a "great blog on what's happening in D.C." The site has been
called the best blog by the DC community in the Washington City Paper,
the Washingtonian and Washington Blade.
